Introduction

Phthalic acid esters (PAEs), also known as phthalic acid esters, are the general term for esters formed by phthalic acid. When used as a plasticizer for plastics, it generally refers to the ester of phthalic acid and an alcohol with 4 to 15 carbons. There are many varieties of phthalates (about 30 kinds), of which dioctyl phthalate is the most important variety. It is considered to be an environmental hormone ubiquitous in the living environment. Phthalate compounds are fat-soluble compounds. Packing butter and animal fat foods in plastic bags, especially hot ones, will increase human intake and be unhealthy. [1] Phthalates are mainly used in polyvinyl chloride materials, so that polyvinyl chloride changes from hard plastic to elastic plastic and acts as a plasticizer. It is widely used in toys, food packaging materials, medical blood bags and hoses, vinyl floors and wallpapers, detergents, lubricants, personal care products (such as nail polish, hair sprays, soaps and shampoos), etc. In products, but in recent years, the environmental health hazards caused by these compounds have received widespread attention from environmental science, public health, the media and even the general public [2]. Studies have shown that phthalates play a role similar to estrogen in humans and animals, which can interfere with endocrine, reduce men’s semen volume and sperm volume, lower sperm motility, abnormal sperm morphology, and severely cause testicular cancer. Is the "culprit" causing male reproductive problems. Among cosmetics, nail polish has the highest phthalate content, and many cosmetics also contain this substance. This substance in cosmetics enters the body through women's respiratory system and skin. If used too much, it will increase the risk of women suffering from breast cancer and endanger the reproductive system of their future male babies.
